History

In 1971, the young dentist, Joe Ceravolo, started the first regularly operating private dental clinic in Kingscote, coming over from Adelaide one day per week. After five years, the practice sold to David Leane and opened for two days per week, growing to three days in 1984, when Ashley White joined the team. A very happy business partnership of over 20 years ensued, with both David and Ashley flying over for two days every week.

At that time the dental surgery was located at rear of the council chambers in Dauncey Street.

In 2005 Lauren Stowe, followed by David Leane's niece, Michelle Spiel, and then Paul Budden, started working in the Kingscote Dental Practice and David restricted his practice to Mount Barker, where he continues to see many Islanders.

Ashley and Ingrid White work with David at DentalCare Mt Barker in the Adelaide Hills.

In 2010 Ingrid White commenced working with Ashley, while continuing to practice at the Mount Barker practice and teaching at the Dental School at the University of Adelaide.

Dr Graeme Moore the orthodontist continues to consult from Kingscote Dental Practice.

We have a number of experienced locums who have filled in, returning several times as they love to work in the Practice with the friendly Island community.
